. . .the eternal flame in honor of the 6 million Jews who lost their lives in the Holocaust, at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, in Washington, D.C.
This week celebrates not only Yom Hashoah, the Holocaust day of remembrance, but this week celebrates 65 years after the liberation of the camps.
The museum has an amazing web site that not only educates, but also reminds us that we must never forget the atrocities committed against human beings.
I urge you to go to the web site, www.ushmm.org, and view photographs, artifacts, personal history videos, maps, and historical film footage that will help you become informed about the genocide that occurred in the 20th century.
Especially moving is a video, Why We Remember The Holocaust, that will help you understand the importance of this special week.
